“You shooting at somebody in my camp, I might get hit” – Pusha T
DJ Akademiks, Funk Flex playing dangerous game attacking JAY-Z, following the official Desiree Perez pardon by Donald Trump. In the final hours of Donald Trump’s presidency, he let lose 143 pardons. Those included murderers, former drug dealers, rappers and most of all, white collar criminals. However, one of the more shocking pardons, was Roc Nation CEO, Desiree Perez.
Since her past history has been brought back to light in recent years by Dame Dash, 6ix9ine and DJ Akademiks; no one in her camp has yet to address anything. While we never expect anyone to address the situation, she issued a rare statement following the pardon.
Mrs. Perez went to say, “I’m grateful to have received a pardon and to have formally closed that chapter of my life in the eyes of the law. I have taken full accountability for my mistakes from 25 years ago, but I also take tremendous pride in my personal growth, perseverance and accomplishments since then. This pardon reinforces my lifelong commitment to advocate for criminal justice reform and social justice initiatives.”
However, both Funk Flex and AK decided it was smart to dig further into the situation. Due to Desiree being the right-hand friend in JAY-Z’s Roc Nation management company, those two hip-hop personalities are poking at something very dangerous.
Considering Akademiks was recently fired by Complex (according to the GOAT Star), we’re wondering if he learned his lesson with mentioning someone in high power. That led to his platform being shut down, as well as losing his job. While Flex hasn’t crossed the line with JAY-Z just yet, hopefully he smartens up before his Monday night story on the radio.
