DJ Khaled Blacks Out on the Music Industry

Another One. . . . .

This Friday, DJ Khaled is releasing his I Changed A Lot album, which saw three single releases last week. While Def Jam is aggressively closing out the fourth quarter with various projects, the Miami-based entrepreneur continued his promotional media run to Sway’s Universe earlier today.

In the nearly hour sit-down conversation, Kilo touched on how own a production company, restaurant, headphone line and a label not being enough to receive praise from quote-on-quote “dinosaurs” within the music industry. From various hits over the last decade and curating some of the biggest collaborations within the rap genre, Khaled went to discuss how his run is being taken for granted and isn’t being appreciated from those holding the keys.

However, he did cite the fans as the ones making his releases go GOLD and beyond, as things continued with a few subliminal shots at some particular publications.

Take a look at the interview with Sway above and look for the album to arrive later this year.
