DJ Khaled – I Got The Keys (feat. JAY Z & Future)

Artist: DJ Khaled feat. JAY Z & Future
Song: “I Got The Keys”
Producer: G Koop, Jake One & Southside
Album: Major Key
Director: Daniel Kaufman

Earlier this month, DJ Khaled officially started his MAJOR KEY album campaign with a little help from Drake on his recent For Free single. However, while in the midst of taking over Beats 1 to premiere new music with OVO Sound, he would then tease another anthem for the summer – this time being with JAY Z and Future. After weeks of teasing his I Got The Keys track with the two elite artist in hip-hop, Kilo finally releases his single and music video for the much-anticipated cut.

With Mr. Hendrix handling the chorus alongside Khaled, HOV finally takes a few subtle jabs at the 6-God saying “Niggas always asking me the key. ‘Til you own your own you can’t be free. ‘Til you’re on your own you can’t be me. How we still slaves in 2016?” (see: Exodus 23:1).

If you’re lost, the jabs are in reference to Drizzy’s Roc-a-Fella lines on Summer Sixteen.” While the single is available to peep above, the main music video is unfortunately only streaming on Tidal.

Look for his Major Key album out this July 29th – featuring the likes of Kanye West, Bryson Tiller, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Wale. Pre-orders are available right now on the iTunes store.
