THE FIRST WEEK SALE NUMBERS ARE IN!
DJ Khaled has a lot of celebrating to do this summer, as he’s earned his second no. 1 album on the Billboard 200. The South Beach native bows atop of this week’s charts, generating 149,000 equivalent album units for his recently released Grateful album.
With the help of his summer-hit “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, Kilo also earned 50,000 in traditional album sales for the project. This serves in follow-up to last year’s Major Key album, which launched with 95,000 units. Unlike the previous effort, which was exclusive to Apple Music and iTunes, Khaled dropped the new album on every major streaming service and retailers – as the numbers above show his move to Roc Nation has been successful so far.
