Over the past few days, we’ve seen a few respected street individuals in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, all wanting to personally see and “speak” with Irv Gotti. For those that don’t know, DMX had ties across America, regardless which color cats wore; or even race. He only rocked with real individuals, which bothers us that these recent comments were made. As you all know, Irv Gotti said some eye-raising things about the death of DMX.
While the family still hasn’t received exact information on the iconic rapper’s passing; Irv prematurely said information from an unconfirmed online report. This didn’t hold any merit, which is why Swizz Beatz immediately spoke out about the situation pertaining to his brother DMX. The comments make Jay-Z look insanely bad, who helped Irv Gotti, from a distance; with deals on major platforms.
After a phone call from the Ruff Ryders, Irv offered up an apology. However, those individuals we mentioned above aren’t trying to hear it. Now, four years ago, DMX made peace with both Jay-Z and Ja Rule, after not speaking to them for over a decade. Ja’s situation wasn’t that serious with X, considering he was caught in the crossfire with Irv Gotti. Jiggaman went out of his way to help X get free from his label situation at Def Jam.
That included signing off on a $20 million debt that was owed from Ruff Ryders to company. The DMX vs. Jay-Z situation was all competition, never personal. Now, following that reunion, Irv Gotti, who had also been at odds with X, thought that he was going to be allowed back in the circle. DMX immediately shut down those plans, saying he still didn’t fuck with him.
Beforehand, they had behind-the-scenes altercation, where members of Irv’s camp tried to intimidate X. Considering Irv has a questionable track record, for ONLY those that know him to actually make judgement; this didn’t come as a surprise to anyone that was close to the situation. We’re not sure why Irv would say DMX was killed, by tarnishing his legacy with drug talk thrown in the conversation.
Irv, who was the person that discovered DMX, will always feel a certain way for them not being able to reconcile before the passing. This includes both Irv and X being godfathers of each other’s children, so this was beyond rap beef. The situation is very personal, which deserves more than just an apology.
