Last year, Donald Glover announced that he would be retiring Childish Gambino. Even though he won a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance, he revealed that he hasn’t changed his mind. The good news is, he’s started work on his final album under the name.
“I stand by that,” he says. “I’m really appreciative of this. I’m making another project right now. But I like endings, I think they’re important to progress. I think if a lot of things had death clauses in them, we wouldn’t have a lot of problems in the world, to be honest. I think ending are good because they force things to get better.”
The update comes after Glover signed a deal with RCA Records last week.
