Drake’s ‘Care Package’ First Week Album Sales

FREE STREAM: CARE PACKAGE

This weekend, Billboard has revealed its latest date numbers for the highest charting albums of the previous week. To no surprise, Drake debuts at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his Care Package album. The OVO Sound released effort went to generate 109,000 equivalent album units, and of that sum, 16,000 were in traditional sales.

This continues his streak of nine no. 1 albums on Billboard and the first ever his OVO Sound imprint with 40. All of his previous projects were released on Young Money and Ca$h Money Records. He’s now tied with Eminem, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Garth Brooks, who all have nine no. 1 albums. Ahead of them are The Beatles with 19 and JAY-Z with 14.

Considering The Boy is slated to drop his next major album later this year, expect a roll-out when the weather gets a little colder.
