Drake Shares Statement About Black Face Photo From Pusha T Diss Cover

Aside from the bars on “The Story of Adidon,” the cover Pusha T used for the release of the diss track has been a big topic of discussion the past 24 hours. Man were offended at needed an explanation from the 6 God as to why he did this.

Not responding on wax quite yet, Drake has shared a statement on the David Leyes picture in question, clearing up why he was in blackface to begin with.

In his Instagram post, Drake says he was trying to make a statement with the photoshoot, trying to raise awareness to how black actors struggle to get roles and are typecast or stereotyped in the process. He emphasizes that it had nothing to do with his music career or the fact it was for a clothing photo shoot, but rather out of frustration for what black actors go through at auditions.

How long will it take for him to respond to Push through record, though?
