Since 2007, Ebro Darden had been serving as the Program Director of NYC’s Hot 97. With the now network transitioning to the masses on television screens for their upcoming VH1 reality series This is Hot 97, Darden was faced with an ultimatum of becoming a more corporate figure or stay in the trenches with the wolves for the culture he loves.
Ebro would make the decision to remove himself as the stations PD, but would still remain an on air personality for the Hot 97 Morning Show, as well as one of the faces for the reality show.
