We haven’t heard any music from Yuna for at least two years now, so when we saw she was featured on a track, we jumped at the opportunity to listen. On “Leaving,” she links with Canadian producer Ekali for a pop-sounding record, which could resonate with someone losing a love. For as dreamy and upbeat as the song is, Yuna gets vulnerable in her lyrics, singing about someone who is potentially sabotaging a relationship and moving on from her.
Either way, it’s good to hear from the songstress. Hopefully she’s working on a follow-up to her incredible album Chapters and we get something soon.
