Eminem’s ‘Kamikaze’ First Week Album Sales Revealed

Congrats to Em, Paul and Dre!

Las week, Eminem surprised the music world, releasing his Kamikaze album. The project becomes Slim Shady’s ninth no. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts, as he moved over 434,000 equivalent album sales in its first week. Of that sum, 252,999 were in traditional sales, with single-track and overall streaming covering the rest. He becomes the second rapper ever, behind JAY-Z’s fourteen, as the only rapper with the most Billboard topped albums in a career.

Along with his own personal largest streaming week ever, Em scored the overall fourth-largest week for an album and third-largest sales week for a project in 2018. It’s safe to say that an Eminem tour could possibly be in the works, since this is his most well-received effort in quite some time.
