To no surprise, Eminem has earned the no. 1 album with his latest project, Music to Be Murdered By. The effort, becomes Eminem’s 10th no. 1 album on the Billboard 200, moving 279,000 units. Of that sum, 154,000 were in streaming, 117,000 in traditional sales and 8,000 in track sales.
It also earned 217.6 million on-demand streams, becoming the biggest since Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding album (220.0 million clicks). Em also breaks out of a tie for Kanye West with the most. 1 debut albums in a row on the charts, as Yeezy notched his 9th last fall with Jesus is King.
Lastly, Marshall becomes the sixth act to have 10 or more no. 1 albums on the charts. He’s now behind The Beatles (with a record 19), Jay-Z (14), Bruce Springsteen (11), Barbra Streisand (11) and Elvis Presley (10).
