The FEDS investigated whether Wu-Tang Clan had links to 1999 murders

Well over 15 years later, for some reason, reports have surfaced about a previous open investigation that alleged founding members of the legendary rap group Wu-Tang Clan had any connections to murders of two Staten Island drug dealers – that robbed their relatives. According to New York Post, brothers Anthony and Harvey Christian were found guilty last year for their 20-year ran Drug Empire in Staten Island, including ordering the slaying of Jerome ‘Boo Boo’ Estella in 1999.

While the two await sentencing, their attorney, Michael Gold, is demanding that prosecutors reveal complete details surrounding the death of Boo Boo; which includes an informant’s allegation that Robert ‘RZA’ Fitzgerald, and Corey ‘Raekwon’ Woods had a hand in hit.

According to reports by the Staten Island Advance, directly from the informant, Brian Humphreys (man who allegedly shot Boo Boo), Estella returned home from a prison bid and robbed RZA’s little brother, in the midst of his beef with the Christian brothers.

US Attorney Allon Lifshitz asserted that unnecessary information for the trail had already been looked into, including a death of another Shaolin dealer, Corey “Shank Bank” Booker. While details won’t affect the Christian brothers’ guilt, it’s very odd that their attorney would go out of his way to relook into allegations that have nothing to do with their case. Take a look at the full report below.

Ford claimed that Brooker, who was shot dead in June 1999, had shaken down RZA’s brother and Raekwon’s cousin — and that RZA put up $30,000 to have him killed, according to the filing.

“A couple of weeks before the Boo Boo shooting, Uncles (informant Paul Ford) told Humphreys about a Blood named Boo Boo who just came home from jail. He stated that Boo Boo had robbed RZA’s little brother and had also gotten into something with the Christian brothers. Uncles was talking about Boo Boo and said that he had just come home and robbed RZA’s brother and that they would likely come after him for that. Humphreys believes Uncles was referring to members of Wu-Tang.”

“Ford stated that he had previously heard that Shank Bank was killed by Phife. Ford believes that Phife collected money from RZA for executing the hit,” according to the excerpt provided in the filing, which doesn’t identify Phife. Ford advised that Brooker — who died after the Estella murder — was murdered by a person hired by RZA, i.e., by a Wu Tang Clan associate, and that Estella may have been murdered as a result of a dispute between Brooker and RZA.
