Fabolous Explains ‘Summertime Shootout 3’ Release

This month, like the rest of the music industry, Fabolous is in Los Angeles to conduct meetings with the higher ups. Yesterday, Loso shared a message to follower on IG – regarding the whereabouts of his Summertime Shootout 3 mixtape. Since we’re in the peak days of summer, Fab shared his “Ooh Yeah” single with Ty Doll $ign last week, as his latest effort before the project.

Well, in the post, Loso explained that he’s adjusting to the new age of roll-outs and is planning to release SS3 through streaming services. Unlike the traditional method of dropping a link online, the effort is unfortunately still suffering from sample clearance issues. Until that gets worked out, Fab is still taking his time on polishing the mixtape. Take a look at the post below.

Still appreciate the mixtape culture, it’s where i come from. But just like everything does, the game changes and you either adapt or get left behind. So now mixtapes are being released & processed like albums.. and now it can be digested thru all the streaming companies & services. Also a way for the new audience to get your mixtape without leaving their usual way of consuming music. And my early mixtape fans won’t have the complaint “why aren’t the Soul Tape’s or There Is No Competition Mixtapes on Streaming Platforms they’ve converted over to. May take a little more time because we now have to clear samples & get songs injected in online playlists & streaming formats, but the outcome will be as dope as the era before. So I’m adapting to the process, a Level Up from the tradition way of dropping a mixtape. And with all that said, had a meeting with @apple, @beatsbydre, @defjam, & @rocnation in LA to play them some of the new mixtape coming… the wait is almost over. Summertime Shootout 3 on the way!
