The future of rap, according to FORBES

When FORBES puts out a list, usually it’s for bragging rights on behalf of the artists. Who made the most money this year or who is worth the most. For their latest Hip-Hop Cash Princes list, they handpicked judges, which include Charlamagne tha God, Hit-Boy, Lovebug Starski and Atlantic Records chief Craig Kallam to predict who would make the Hip Hop Cash Kings list in the future.

The votes from the panel and three FORBES staff members were tallied and the only requirements were that the artists had to be under 30 and not have appeared on a previous Cash Princes or Cash Kings list. The results are what you see below.

Fetty Wap
G-Eazy
Metro Boomin
Logic
Boi-1da
Dej Loaf
Joey Bada$$
Lil Dicky
Little Simz
Young Dolph

Zoo Wap undoubtedly had the best year out of any of the artists on the list, with a few producers like Metro Boomin and Boi-1da making appearances in the Top 10 after their work with Future and Drake respectively. Bay Area’s G-Eazy and Def Jam’s Logic are also poised to continue the run they had in 2015, while Dej Loaf and Little Simz representing for the ladies in rap.
