Since the release of his debut mixtape, Nostalgia, Ultra in 2011, Frank Ocean developed a core fan base with listeners. The singer-songwriter and rapper soon followed up the effort a year with the release of major debut album, channel ORANGE. While listeners have been waiting on fresh material for nearly three years from Lonny Breaux, he took to Instagram today to reveal his official sophomore effort will be entitled Boys Don’t Cry.
Before his website crashed, the non-limelight musician said “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions. #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY.” While this marks the first time we’ve seen him formally throw out a date for any project he’s involved in during recent years, fans of the Odd Future member can expect more imminent album news to surface very soon if this spontaneous July announcement holds up.
