Freebandz Rapper FXXXXY Has Died at 25

Freebandz rapper FXXXXY has died at the age of 25 following complications from a routine medical procedure. The news arrives following social media posts last week.

“The family of Maudell Watkins, aka FXXXXY, aka FBG Fox, are totally shocked and devastated at his unexpected and unforeseen passing,” his family said in a statement. “We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to his many friends and acquaintances who’ve reached out to us in this extremely difficult time. He lived music with every breath he took and his focus and drive were unmatched. May his contributions to the music industry live forever. CC 4 Life!”

The Dallas native is known for his Gunna collaboration “Need U,” “Follow Me” featuring Lil Durk, and engineering Future’s Save Me EP and “Solitaires” off his High Off Life album. He released his last song “Paranoia / #1 Stunna” on August 28 via Interscope Records.
