After generating buzz for his Unforgettable single with Swae Lee, French Montana gets to celebrate the release of his sophomore album, Jungle Rules.

The project, which has been in the playlist of LeBron James this month, debuted at no. 3 on this weekend’s Billboard 200 – generating 52,000 units (16,000 in traditional album sales).

It also becomes a new peak record for him on the charts, as his debut album Excuse My French maxed out at no. 4 in 2014, launching with 56,000 copies. Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN rose back to no. 2 to the charts, moving another 56,000 units since its release nearly 3 months ago.

However, the top slot went to JAY Z and his 4:44 album, which enjoyed another week on the throne – generating 87,000 in its first week. Frenchie will likely have a steady position in charts through streaming traffic, as he’s set to open for The Weeknd in a few weeks on his Starboy World Tour.
