Funk Flex Calls JAY Z a “Commercial Corporate Rapper”

Listen to part two of Flex’s rant at HOV

Friday night, Funkmaster Flex took to the Hot 97 airwaves to publicly vent about JAY Z’s web brand wanting to get insight on the Dipset reunion. While there’s been a rift between the Harlem crew and Jigga over the years in records, Flex confirmed rumors of not being allowed to play records at his 40/40 Club. After his original rant, Hov sent Flex a text in all capital letters, which the Hot 97 DJ didn’t take too kindly. Coincidentally, The Diplomats released a Victory (Freestyle) freestyle soon after, which had a few bars aimed at the Brooklyn rapper.

Flex soon went to the airwaves once again, calmly, to not be disrespectful in his second rant at JAY, calling him a “corporate commercial rapper that drops a hot line on a hotter remix”. Whether or not Jigga decides to respond remains to be seen, but Flex isn’t backing down in the public eye at the moment.
