Congrats to our friends at Freebandz!
Last year, Future earned his first ever solo platinum album, with DS2. However, with a world tour and two no. 1 hit-singles dominating the charts over the last few months, the Atlanta rapper has now reached another career milestone. His self-titled FUTURE project has officially received a platinum certification from the RIAA, becoming the fifth album of 2017 to receive the honor.
JAY-Z’s 4:44, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN, Migos’ CULTURE and Ed Sheeran’s ÷ were the other projects in its class. The effort went to sale 140,000 equivalent album units in its first week last February; which took just shy of 6 months to tally up a million sales. With his current tour going on until the end of the year, we’re curious if the HNDRXX album will be able to go platinum as well.
The fans did it again. I'm privileged to have the dedication time after time..continue too make me better #FUTURE PLATINUM
