Future Talks Quitting Lean, His Catchy Chorus on “King’s Dead” and More

The entire hip hop community is waiting for Future‘s new album The WIZRD and we’re only a few days away from it.

In a new interview with Genius on For The Record, Hendrix sits down with Rob Markman to talk about what he’s got on deck with the project, how he feels about the music and his thoughts on the new documentary that just dropped.

He also talked about quitting lean, which is interesting because he said he didn’t want his fans to feel some sort of way since they expect certain things from him.

Rob also asked him about that infamous part on Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar‘s “King’s Dead” single, which came by accident. He said he laid it at the end as an outro and didn’t know if it would be kept, but Kung Fu Kenny told him that was the best part and put it towards the middle of the record.

Watch this and more, especially how he feels about Andre 3000 supporting him above.
