It’s been a long time coming, but Gorillaz are finally set to release their new album in the near future. The visual half of the band, Jamie Hewlett, took to Instagram today to share footage of him and the musical half, Damon Albarn, working in the studio with a few guests. Damon already revealed plans for a new Gorillaz project last year, but this is an even closer step to the whole thing becoming a reality.
Since the last Gorillaz album The Fall in 2011, Damon has released his solo album Everyday Robots and the Blur comeback album The Magic Whip.
