H.E.R – I Can’t Breathe

In light of the climate across the United States and protests against racism, police brutality and social injustice, H.E.R was inspired to write a new record. “I Can’t Breathe,” which is inspired by the phrase that George Floyd said when police officer Derek Chauvin had his knee to his neck, came very organic to her, considering everything we’ve been witnessing and talking about for the past few weeks.

The record was debuted thanks to an iHeartRadio Living Room Concert Series and performed at a studio in Brooklyn, NY. You can watch the powerful live rendition above.
