We’re super excited about the release of Illa J‘s new album later this month, with the Detroit artist showing not only his raps, but his singing too. While his last release “Home” featured only singing, he’s back with the rhymes on his latest release, “Maureen.” The song is a tribute to his mom, and is once again built around some silky production from Calvin Valentine.
“I just really wanted my mom to know how much I appreciated her support, and how much I admire her strength and courage,” he says about the track.
