Last week, J. Cole KOD Tour with Young Thug made a stop in Montreal, Canada. The good people of Montreality were on hand for the show and recorded some footage of the Dreamville rapper offering advice to aspiring artists. Cole even broke down his path to greatness, explaining how newcomers shouldn’t take the words of critics so serious – even though he struggles with that sentiment to this day. Jermaine said, “It’s no such thing as overnight success. If you go directly from 0 to 100, you’re robbing yourself of the journey. That’s where all the magical shit happens, it’s in the journey – it’s not the destination.” Watch the full clip below.
