J. Cole Debuts New Music on ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ Documentary

New Cole on the way?

Just one week ago, J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only album went platinum; becoming the only rapper to have back-to-back albums achieve the milestone with zero features. Coincidentally, HBO revealed just days prior that they were readying an official documentary film for the project.

Well, in the 40-minute presentation, we witnessed the Dreamville rapper travel across cities, to visit locations that had political and personal resonance for him. With co-directorial help from Scott Lazer, the North Carolina rapper filmed mini music videos in between the documentary footage of his time in the streets. Cole even went to various hoods without security, which he got a pass from respective local brothers – for just coming through to shed light on situations.

However, before things concluded he managed to sneak out a quick tease of some previously unreleased material he had been working on. Following his “High for Hours single release at the top of the year, it’s safe to say that he could be in the early stages on his next effort.
