J. Cole is set to executive produce Young Thug‘s upcoming album, according to Complex. The two artists have kicked off recording sessions for the new album in New York, a source close to Thugger told them.
J. Cole brought Thug on his KOD tour last year, and has previously spoke highly of him. “If you wanna talk about Young Thug as an artist, he’s an innovator,” Cole said. “You can call him a mumble rapper all you want, but if you know skills, the art of rapping and how you put words together, and pockets, flows and the things he’s doing with his voice, the dude is a genius.”
