After collaborating with the likes of Chance The Rapper and Macklemore, Jamila Woods fully established herself in 2016 with her debut album HEAVN. For the first time since re-releasing the project last year, she’s back with new music.
The Chicago singer’s latest single is called “Giovanni,” and comes with a powerful video she directed alongside Vincent Martell. In it, Jamila’s grandmother flicks through photo albums, with other black women speaking on embracing self-love.
