Last Tuesday, Janelle Monáe released her sophomore album “The Electric Lady” serving as her first project in nearly 3 years. Earlier this morning, she stopped by Power 105 to visit “The World’s Most Dangerous Morning Show”, The Breakfast Club. In the interview, she discussed her situation with Bad Boy Records being a partnership; which Diddy has given her creative freedom on album releases with help from Big Boy for executive production duties. Things transitioned to Janelle’s relationship with Prince, as the two instantly clicked during a jam session that lasted an entire night. Along with Erykah Badu and a few others, Monae credits various legends in the game for cosigning her and passing the baton, so to speak. You can check after the jump for more from this interview.
