JAY-Z Wouldn’t Beat Nas in a VERZUZ Battle: Inspired by Grammy Family Freestyle Comment

JAY-Z vs. Nas VERZUZ Battle Story

Jigga Already lost once. . . .

JAY-Z vs. Nas VERZUZ battle story is examined after the Brooklyn rapper said nobody could stand in-front of the GRAMMYs freestyle. As the entire world has been debating who can step into the ring with JAY-Z in a VERZUZ battle, we’ve seen names that have been thrown in the air.

The likes of Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Future have been mentioned by many that they can defeat the Jiggaman in the ring.  While we respect all four of those artists, they have too much respect and look up to Jay to properly want to have an actual battle on the stage.

With DMX unfortunately gone, the only logical person that we see defeating Jay-Z, again, would be Nas.  Considering Escobar has the Bible of hip-hop with his Illmatic album (reviewed first by the legendary Ms. Info), he’s one of the only active and relevant rappers in mainstream that had success before Jay-Z.

The reach of Nas in the mainstream and the streets was so serious, that 2pac felt he was a bigger threat to him than the Notorious B.I.G. during their infamous battle.  Song for song, Nas can match up any hit that Jay has ever released and has more soulful content throughout his career.

Now, why are we doing this post and making a bold claim?  Simple.  Jay-Z said no one would be able to stand in front of the Grammy Family freestyle, which he confirmed that he’s been at least thinking about doing a VERZUZ battle.  If it’s emcee based and performance focused, there’s no way Jay-Z would be able to outspit or outperform Nas.

Any concert we’ve ever gone to with Jay-Z, he stands in one area and moves his hands.  It’s literally no energy.  However, since he’s spitting bars above the 99.9% of competition, that makes up for the lack of performance he has at live events.

With Nas, you get a complete show, being in the top 0.01 percent of the rappers above the competition, as well as superior bars and energy during his performance.  Every track Jigga would perform, has a response and better reaction from Escobar.
