Jean Deaux just keeps getting better and better. Today, the Chicago singer is shining on a new single called “Back 2 You,” produced by the always impressive Phoelix. It’s a taste of her forthcoming Krash EP, which is due out later this fall.
Speaking to Saint Heron, Jean said that she heard Phoelix making the beat on the bus of Smino’s ‘Swanita’ tour, and she just had to have it. “I didn’t even think about the words,” she said. “I just let it flow. I had come off tour wanting to make something that just felt good and powerful. The words matched, I think.”
