Jeezy on How Bobby Shmurda was the Next DMX

Free GS9!

A few days ago, Jeezy stopped by the Sirius Radio’s The Whoolywood Shuffle with DJ Whoo Kid to promote his new album, Trap or Die 3. While discussing the project’s impact during Election Week and his life in the trap before music, he explained his transition from the streets to becoming a wealthy entrepreneur. However, before things ended, he made a bold statement – citing how Bobby Shmurda was on his way to becoming to the next DMX.

While the incarcerated rapper is expected to be released from prison sometime in 2018, Young went to explain how fans gravitated to the rawness of Hot Nigga at a time when street music wasn’t in the mainstream, and how it reminded him of DMX’s 1998 entrance to the game. Speaking of the video, he also cited how it reminded him of Juvenile’s classic visual for “Ha,” which was also shot right in the hood. Watch more from the conversation with Jeezy and Whoo Kid above.
