Jeremih Is In ICU After Being Diagnosed with COVID-19

COVID-19 has struck this year and not everyone has been lucky enough to dodge the disease. While over 246K people have died from the virus in 2020 so far, the music community has not been immune. Over the weekend, it was reported that singer Jeremih was hospitalized in Chicago and was currently in the ICU battling the coronavirus.

Plenty of artists came out on social media to wish the singer well wishes and a speedy recovery.

As of now, we don’t know the exact conditions or details of how he’s doing, but we will keep you updated with any information as it trickles out.

UPDATE: The family issues a statement to CNN saying Jeremih is on a ventilator and it’s rare for someone so young with no underlying conditions to be going through this with the disease. The virus has viscously attacked his body and the family thanks everyone praying for him.

“His family would like to remind the world that COVID-19 is real and not to be taken lightly. Also, It’s important for people infected to quarantine and let their families and friends know ASAP. There’s no shame in contracting COVID-19, and people that have it need to be responsible and considerate of others.

The family believes daily prayers to God. A great team of doctors and nurses is helping him pull through. He’s not out of the woods yet, but progress is being made. The family and friends are praying that he starts breathing on his own soon, and makes a full recovery.”
