Chances are you’ve heard Jimetta Rose‘s voice over the years in the world of hip-hop, with collaborations alongside the likes of MED, Blu, Madlib, White Boiz, Anderson. Paak, Thundercat, Quelle Chris and many others. On August 19th, the Los Angeles singer will release her new album The Light Bearer on Busdriver’s Temporary Whatever label, which is entirely produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow. As a taster, she’s sharing the funky first single “Catch a Vibe,” dedicated to summer flings.
The LP will be the follow-up to 2010’s debut album The Barber’s Daughter.
