John Legend is back with his powerful new single “Preach,” which stems from knowledge he gained growing up in a church.
The song is all about taking action for what you stand for, rather than just preaching. “Heaven knows I’m not helpless, but I’m only human,” Legend sings. “I can’t see the use of me crying, if I’m not even tryna to make the change I wanna see.”
“Preach” serves as Legend’s first release since his A Legendary Christmas album in October.
