Juelz Santana Indicted on Weapon Charges, Facing 20 Years in Prison

On March 9th, Juelz Santana’s freedom was jeopardized. That day, Newark Liberty International Airport security found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and unprescribed oxycodone pills, in a carry-on bag containing his identification. After turning himself in to federal authorities, Lz was locked up for nearly a month, before being released on house arrest in early April.

Well, this week, a New Jersey federal grand jury has officially indicted the rapper with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft. If convicted, Juelz could face up to 20 years in total on both counts, which he originally pleaded not guilty to state charges.

After Essex County prosecutors removed themselves for case, federal authorities took over, as Mr. LaRon James should learn his fate in the coming weeks. Take a look at the case file below.
