New JT album coming early 2017?
For many months, Justin Timberlake has been brainstorming ideas for his official fourth studio album, yet-to-be-titled, and hinted last year at going a country route with Timbaland for the project. However, after his spring-summer hit, “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” the 30-something kid from Tennessee may have changed the direction of his project.
In an interview with Variety , Justin talked the project’s creative process saying, “I wouldn’t say my new material is the antithesis of ‘20/20,’ but it does sound more singular. If ‘20/20’ sounded like it literally surrounds your entire head, this stuff feels more like it just punches you between the eyes.”
To further build anticipation for the unheard work, Pharrell Williams also chimed in his two cents saying, “Songwise, I think we’ve got a good solid six that are like, ‘Whoa, what was that? Play that again.’ I would pay Justin a huge compliment to say he’s just discovering who he is now.”
While Timberlake hasn’t even given a time frame when he’s ready to share his new material to the public, he’s going at his own pace through the project’s creative process and isn’t planning to rush anything out for consumer demand. He closed out saying, “I think everyone I’m working with right now knows that I’m notorious for being like, ‘Yeah let’s work. I have no idea when I’ll put it out, though.’ I’ll put it out when it’s done — when it feels right.”
