The article revealed that the anonymous members claimed that Mr. West showed them explicit images of Kim Kardashian and used fear and manipulation to assert dominance. Essentially, they felt that Ye used the porn and bullying as mind games to control staff on hand at board at his company. However, what was even more shocking, was the former members claiming that Adidas executives turned their moral compass off and ignored the situation.
During the Rolling Stone reveal, board members talked about porn being shown publicly and said, “There was no accountability,“Difficult moments happened, with executives in the room — VP level or higher — and nothing would be done. You’d still show up to work the next day.”
With Adidas terminating their partnership with Kanye West, a full-blown investigation into allegations of misconduct is being handled. Considering former high-ranking employees of Yeezy going public with this information to board members, this alleged toxic and chaotic environment that was created could likely go beyond an internal investigation.
Adidas released a statement on Thursday saying “it is currently not clear whether the accusations made in an anonymous letter are true. However, we take these allegations very seriously and have taken the decision to launch an independent investigation of the matter immediately to address the allegations.”
