Kanye West has sat down with Charlamagne Tha God for a new interview, which lasts a lengthy one hour and 45 minutes. In the interview, which took place at his Calabasas home, Ye talks about having a mental breakdown, figures like Beyoncé, JAY-Z and Barack Obama, losing his confidence after being in hospital and much more.
“I think I’m in a stronger place than I ever was,” he says. “After the breakdown—or I like to say, the breakthrough.” The cause of it? “Fear, stress, control, being controlled, manipulation, like being a pawn in a chess piece of life. Stressing things that create, like, validation that I didn’t need to worry about as much.”
