Kanye West has shared a new song called “DONDA” in honor of his late mother, who would have been 71 yesterday. The track opens with his mom reciting lyrics from KRS-One’s “Sound of Da Police,” before Kanye comes in with a verse of his own.
“Mama I need you to tuck me in, I done made some mistakes and they rubbed it in,” Ye raps. “I know you and grandma had enough of them, why I gotta be so stubborn then, I’m doing this one for y’all, so we can end racism once and for all.”
