Kanye West and his manager Scooter Braun, widely known as Justin Bieber’s mentor, have parted ways.
A source says the change was made due to Kanye’s decision to “leave the traditional music business,” and wanting to do things in-house without an outside music manager or lawyer. Yeezy reportedly asked Braun to work for him full-time, but he declined. Despite switching up his business, Kanye is still signed to Def Jam and has a publishing deal at Sony/ATV.
The news arrives leading up to his new solo album and joint album with Kid Cudi both dropping in June.
UPDATE: Kanye speaks out on the news with tweets.

yes I got rid of my last lawyer why? Because he wouldn't come to work full time. I also asked my last manager to come work full time for Yeezy of course the last lawyer and manager said no. So now I hired a CEO and a CFO and i have two full time lawyers as of now.
