Big Sean isn’t the only person that Kanye West was throwing shots at during that Drink Champs interview. Just Blaze was the subject of comments as well.
When asked which producer he’d pick between Swizz Beatz and Just, ‘Ye responded by saying “Swizz because Just Blaze is a copycat. He gets credit for The Blueprint and I did the first half of the Blueprint and he just copied my half.. I mean look where he at today and where I’m at today.”
Of course, the producer got wind of what was said and decided to respond publicly.
As you’d imagine, Just kept things classy and did not get involved in any back and forth. He just stated some of their recent interactions and how it never panned out.
Interestingly, he mentioned collaboration projects that never came to light and almost working together for the latest album DONDA, so it’s interesting that West would call out his former Roc-A-Fella brethren at this point in his career.
