Kanye West’s ‘Ye’ First Week Album Sales Revealed

Congrats Ye, Pusha T, Mike Dean & Plain Pat!

This week, Kanye West joins Eminem and The Beatles, as the third artist ever to earn eight consecutive no. 1 albums on Billboard – joining their long streak record. Kanye’s new Ye album bows atop Billboard 200, selling 208,000 equivalent album units its first week.

According to Nielsen Music, the project also becomes the fifth largest week for an album this year – which 85,000 were in traditional album sales. Largely contributing by streaming services, Ye has went to become the seventh largest streaming debut week for a project ever, generating 180.1 million on-demand audio streams of the effort. Considering the project is only seven songs, that’s pretty impressive for the head of G.O.O.D. Music. Congrats to the entire camp over there.
