Kelela is getting ready to release her long-awaited debut album titled Take Me Apart on October 6th. After sharing the single last week, the Washington, D.C. singer is back with a video for “LMK.” Directed by longtime Björk collaborator Andrew Thomas Huang, the visual shows Kelela breaking free in various club environments.
“We wanted make a video that showcases the multiplicity of who Kelela is and who she has the potential to be,” Huang says. “The video is essentially a grand unveiling featuring Kelela wearing different wigs and guises as she pushes through the club with her friends, ultimately revealing herself at the end of the video.”
