Maybe this sparks a K. Dot x Adele collaboration!
In a few weeks, LL Cool J will be hosting the 58th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. While the event is centered on paying tribute to Lionel Richie, the talk of the night will be Kendrick Lamar being nominated for a whopping 11 awards. He was just one shy of tying Michael Jackson’s all-time record for a single night, which even the TDE rapper himself would never want to surpass.
The Compton rapper is set to perform on the Staples Center stage and will be joined by Adele, The Weekend and Little Big Town – according to The Recording Academy. Directly behind K. Dot on the nominations side of things are Taylor Swift and Abel XO, who each hold seven bids.
Adele, who released her 25 album after the September 30th deadline last fall, will quality for the 2017 Grammy Awards, which she’ll likely walk away with an entire bag of trophies once again.
Look for the 2016 GRAMMYS this February 15th at 8:00pm ET on CBS.
