It’s been exactly a week since Kendrick Lamar released his already critically acclaimed new album DAMN. For his first interview since the release, K.Dot sat down with Zane Lowe and Beats 1 to break down everything you need to know about the project, over the course of detailed 45-minute chat before his Coachella set.
Among many things, Kendrick talks about executing his ideas, inspiration from JAY Z and Tupac, working with U2 and much more. “No matter how many times I come into my own as Kendrick Lamar, I will always have that sense of reaching a certain standard as far as empathy and compassion towards a record, the same way Pac approached music,” he says.
