KING KENDRICK!
Much like Drake in Toronto, Kendrick Lamar was also the recipient of the Key to the City this weekend, with the city of Compton celebrating the day with him.
Upon receiving the key, K Dot took the podium to gives a speech and thank everyone who came out. He also recalls the city landmarks that used to be where they were, sharing memories when he was a kid walking to the county building and what it meant to be from the city. Kendrick also stressed that this moment isn’t just for him, it’s for the kids who are growing up in today’s world, and he hopes that it shows how far you can make it out of the city, inspiring the next generation.
