This one is special. Kendrick Lamar is the cover star of GQ Style’s new holiday issue, and the best part about it is, the legendary Rick Rubin has interviewed him for the story. GQ have thrown the whole video up online, which lasts around 50 minutes — it’s full of gems and one of Kendrick’s best interviews yet. It took place at the famous Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California on September 28th.
Among many topics, Kendrick talks about his writing process, feeling like he can talk about anything, influence from Tupac, Biggie and JAY Z, getting into jazz with Terrace Martin, the relevance of “Alright,” his meditation practice and much more.
