A Guide to Kid Cudi’s Upcoming Projects

It’s a good time to be a Kid Cudi fan. Cudder is, and has been, super busy working on his music and acting career lately, and they’re all about to trickle out one after the other.

From television and movies to a new album, he’s covering all bases over the next couple of years. He’s already featured on ScHoolboy Q’s “Dangerous” and Jaden Smith’s “On My Own” and cameoed in Drunk Parents in 2019, but there’s a lot more to come.

Entergalactic

Cudi’s upcoming album is titled Entergalactic, and will coincide with a Netflix series of the same name.

The show is an adult-focused animated music series, which he will write, executive produce and star in with Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. The story follows a young man on his journey to discover love.

No release date has been announced yet, but the album will be released on his longtime label Republic Records. Entergalactic continues Cudi’s space theme, named after a song on his Man on the Moon: The End of Day album.

We Are Who We Are

Kid Cudi is starring in forthcoming HBO drama series We Are Who We Are.

The eight-episode limited series is described as “a coming of age story about two American teenagers who, along with their military and civilian parents, are living on an American military base in Italy.” The man behind Call Me by Your Name and Suspiria, Luca Guadagnino, will serve as director, writer and showrunner.

Co-stars include Francesca Scorsese (Martin Scorsese’s daughter), Chloe Sevigny, Alice Brag, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jordan Kristine Seamon, Faith Alabi, Spence Moore II, Ben Taylor, Corey Knight, Tom Mercier and Sebastiano Pigazzi.

The show continues Cudi’s affiliation with HBO, having previously starred in HBO’s How to Make It in America in 2010/2011.

Bill & Ted Face the Music

Cudder has a role in the upcoming Bill & Ted movie, Bill & Ted Face the Music, which he is currently filming.

Mescudi will star alongside Keanu Reaves and Alex Winter in a franchise that he has called his childhood. Read the synopsis: “Once told they’d save the universe during a time-traveling adventure, 2 would-be rockers from San Dimas, California find themselves as middle-aged dads still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny.”

Other cast members include William Sadler, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine.

Westworld

Cudi will be joining the Westworld universe for the HBO series’ third season, which is set to air in 2020.

A recent trailer shows him in a scene with Aaron Paul, who he previously starred alongside in the 2014 movie, Need for Speed. He appears in orange prison overalls putting his hand against a glass window.

His actual role is disclosed for now, but he’ll join fresh faces like Lena Waithe, Vincent Cassel and Marshawn Lynch .

Creepshow

Cudi will star in Creepshow, a horror anthology series based on Stephen King and George A. Romero’s 1982 film.

Premiering September 26th on Shudder, the show is a continuation of the first two films in the Creepshow franchise, and will feature six episodes with two stories per episode. Cudi will have an additional role along with another rapper: OutKast’s Big Boi.

The cast features David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Giancarlo Esposito, Tricia Helfer, Dana Gould, Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Davison and DJ Qualls.
