Dayvon Daquan Bennett, known professionally as King Von, is an American rapper and songwriter. He is currently signed to Lil Durk’s record label, OTF & EMPIRE. King Von was born Dayvon Bennett on Chicago’s South Side and raised in the crime-ridden O Block neighborhood. By his teen years, Bennett had turned to crime himself and would spend years in and out of jail before he began rapping in 2018. After hearing some of his early tracks, Lil Durk took an interest in King Von and welcomed him into the Only the Family collective. Durk Derrick Banks, better known by his stage name Lil Durk, is an American singer, record producer, rapper, and songwriter. He is the lead member and founder of his own collective and record label, Only the Family. Chicago rapper Lil Durk began to catch on in the early 2010s when he was still a teenager, bringing pop touches to a raw lyrical style and helping to set the pace for the melodic sound that Chicago rap would become known for throughout the decade. His fame grew as he grappled with various legal troubles, and he released multiple albums that charted in the higher regions of the Billboard 200, with Love Songs 4 the Streets 2 (2019) and Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 (2020) both reaching the Top Five.
